About Fiona

Thanks for visiting my website.

I’m a Scottish classical realist and plein air landscape artist, born in Lossiemouth and raised in Glasgow.

All my life I have been painting and drawing, finding peace and escape in nature. There’s a passion for my native land that drives me, but being the adventurous spirit that I am, I enjoy travelling the world and discovering new places with my faithful travelling easel.

After years of painting and drawing on the move, I studied fine art for three years at the Glasgow Academy of Fine Art, graduating in 2022.

My work captures the essence and nature of my subject using natural light and working from life. I understand the importance of light and dark in my artwork and take advantage of the special light that we have here in Scotland.

I am particularly influenced by 16th Century art and the Renaissance period. I love the works of Titian, Vermeer and The Hague School especially for my plein air art.

Some of my artwork is currently hanging in ScotlandArt Gallery, Bath Street, Glasgow.and Fotheringham Gallery, Bridge of Allan. Past achievements include a solo exhibition with Cass Art, Glasgow, and work shown in the OXO Tower, South Bank, London and the McEwan Gallery, Braemar. I recently appeared as a Wildcard artist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2022, an experience I hugely enjoyed. My work has also been used in film and TV productions.

I have sold to collectors all over the world, including Australia, America and Europe.
