Hello, my name is Fiona and I’ve been passionate about drawing and painting since childhood, spending countless hours creating art. I decided to pursue my passion for art on a full-time basis in 2015. I enrolled in the intensive Drawing and Painting programme at Glasgow Academy of Fine Art studying the methods of the Old Masters and Classical Fine Art Drawing and Painting. This was a three year course which I attended from 2019, graduation in December 2022. 

I specialise in painting from life in oils. I particularly enjoy my Still Life work, Portraiture and en Plein Air landscape painting.

Art Tutoring Services

Whether you’re a beginner who has never picked up a pencil or brush before, or someone who has not drawn or painted for many years, or an experienced artist looking to improve techniques, I provide tailored art lessons to help you achieve your artistic goals in a friendly and welcoming environment.  

I can show the student how to render a portrait using a master copy from the Old Master's painting or drawing. I also offer the unique experience of en plein air landscape painting. Teaching the student to blend traditional techniques with a modern sensibility. I offer tuition to all, experienced or those starting out.

I Offer:

• One-to-One Lessons or One-to-Two lessons: Personalised guidance in drawing and oil painting.
• Plein Air Painting: Landscape painting lessons outdoors (weather permitting).

• Zorn palette and expanded 
• How to control an expanded palette of colours 
• Knowledge of materials: Canvas/panel preparation, use of oils and mediums, pigments and their properties. Study safety using toxic materials.

Location:

All lessons in my studio in East Kilbride, parking and toilet facilities available.

If you have difficulty travelling and there is space in your own home studio or workspace I can potentially travel to nearby areas, including Busby, Clarkston, Giffnock, Hamilton, and Glasgow.
